It is time for progressives to stop focusing on impeaching Trump for two reasons. First, the effect of impeaching Trump would be to make Mike Pence President. That would not be an improvement. Mike Pence is a complete social conservative. He would be much more of a real problem, because he is much more politically savvy, and he actually believes in the religious rights views on social issues.
Second, Democrats need and want the voters who supported Trump. These voters belong back in the Democratic column in future presidential elections because Democrats do actually support their needs far more than Republicans ever will. To try and impeach the person that they elected will make their decision to vote for Trump seem more sensible to them.
